This page explains how Pakistan Justice Coalition handles information when you read or interact with this website. We keep things straightforward: we collect as little as possible, we are transparent about what we do gather, and we never sell personal data.

In plain terms

We are a legal and justice news publication. Visitors can read our reporting without creating an account, and we do not require registration to browse any part of the site. The site is built for reading, with minimal data processing in the background.

Information our servers log automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records basic technical information about each request. This log data typically includes your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and time of each visit, and the referring address that led you to us. We use this only to keep the site secure, diagnose faults, and understand general traffic patterns. Log data is not used to build profiles of individual readers.

Comments

Registered commenting is not currently enabled. On the few article pages where a public conversation is open, anyone choosing to leave a comment should know that the name and email address they enter are stored, together with their IP address and browser user-agent string, so automated spam filtering can do its job. The email address is held only for that purpose and is not published. We rely on standard technical checks to reduce abusive or automated comments.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertising served through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on a reader’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to readers based on their visits to this site and elsewhere on the internet.

We show a consent notice when you first arrive. If you accept, non-essential cookies used to personalise adverts may be placed. You can change your mind at any time and can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You may also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info if available.

Syndicated reporting and source credit

Some articles are republished or adapted from established legal news outlets and law journals. Where we carry reporting that originated elsewhere, we credit the original source and link back to it, consistent with the newsroom norms of the outlets we draw from. We do not incorporate information from those sources into reader profiles.

What we do not collect

We have no user accounts, no newsletter sign-up, and no contact-form database. We therefore do not collect your name, postal address, or telephone number through this site, and we do not intentionally gather financial information, health data, or other sensitive categories of personal data. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

Data retention and your rights

Server logs and stored comments are retained only as long as needed for the security and technical purposes described above, after which they are deleted. Where applicable under the law of the region you are in, you may request a copy of any personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
